How long have you been dancing?
I danced when I was younger and I stopped for a little while and now I've been dancing. so I think it's about, like, two or three years.
How has your experience progressed?
I think it progressed really good. I've learned so much.
How does it feel to be more experienced?
I think it feels good. So you can get better because you're never always your best. And I think it's good that you keep growing.
What does it feel like when you walk on stage?
Sometimes it feels nervous, but also really exciting. And I'm confident.
What is your favorite dance?
I have to say my favorite style is probably contemporary, because I like that you show movement and emotion in it.
How do you feel when you're dancing contemporary?
I feel good. And I feel like my brain's also dancing because, like, you need to show emotion with it.
When you're in the middle of a dance, what is going through your mind?
The counts for the dance and making sure I remember it.
How often do you practice?
Well, most times in the studio. But other times I like to practice the dance two or three times.
So how many times a week to go to practice?
Three.
How is practice different than when you are on the stage?
Because practice the teacher can tell you to make sure you point your feet and stuff. On stage you have to remember all of that.
Do you ever have an off day? If so, how do you shift back?
I mostly practiced it a lot and remembered how I went through the dance when I was backstage.
What advice would you give to a dancer who is just starting out or who is afraid to start?
Just believe in yourself because it's going to be fun. No matter what.
What was your favorite part of the experience?
I would say the photo shoot and trying things that I usually don't do.
